1. Take 9 from 6, 10 from 9, and 50 from 40 and leave 6.
How, can you please explain?
SIX - 9 (IX) = S
9 (IX) - 10 (X) = I
40 (XL) - 50 (L) = X
= SIX
9 (IX) - 10 (X) = I
40 (XL) - 50 (L) = X
= SIX
2. What is the value
of 1/2 of 2/3 of 3/4 of 4/5 of 5/6 of 6/7 of 7/8 of 8/9 of 9/10 of 1000?
= i.e. 1/10 (all denominators will cancel out except 10 and 1 will remain as well as only numerator yet to be canceled out) of 1000
= 100
You can see, the two riddles are very simple.
